Calling All Quilters!!

The Maple Leaf Quilt Show is now in its 38th year. It is the oldest quilt show in the state of Kansas and the only one of
its kind. It is a quilt show for the community by the community.

We welcome quilts of all techniques, sizes and ages. There is no entry fee. The only requirement is that your quilt has a hanging sleeve.

Quilts for display in the Quilt Show may be brought to Quilter's Paradise quilt shop in downtown Baldwin City anytime during the week of October 12 - 16, 2009 and at the Baldwin Primary Center at 8th and Chapel on Friday October 16 between the hours of 4 pm and 6 pm.

The hours of the 2009 quilt show are Saturday, October 17, 9 am - 5 pm and Sunday October 18, 10 am - 5 pm.  For more information about the quilt show and lecture, the foundation, and volunteerism contact Judy Masur at 785-979-8346

the 38
th Maple Leaf Quilt Show

We are proud to present a free lecture by our featured guest, Helene Knott, at 8:00 am Sunday October 18, 2009 in the cafeteria of the Baldwin Primary Center.

Helene will present a lecture entitled “Quilted Inspirations”.  She
will show about 20 of her quilts, some of which are national award winners.  She will talk about what inspired each of the quilts and
how she translated the inspiration into fabric.

A workshop on machine quilting on your domestic sewing machine
is planned for Monday, October 20.   Details to follow.

Helene will be seated at a table in front of two of her quilts during
the quilt show.  She will have some of her patterns for sale and be available for you to visit with about her quilts.

Go to   http://kittystomp.com to meet Helene, view her fabulous
quilts and get an idea of what you might see when she comes in person to share a sampling with us.

Get there early, you don’t want to miss this showing!
